TV and phone--all I need

My week is going to be a little crazy, so posting might not be that regular.  Don't be alarmed.  Anyways, some notes from Monday night:

How vicious was Blair?!  And the button down with black ribbon bow tie?  Going into my mental filing cabinet of work outfits.  Pretty sure that can be a DIY diddy--trip to the craft store for some black ribbon should do the trick.

BLACKBERRY STORM!?  Can't wait.  Verizon isn't sure when they will release this dream boat (late October or November), but you can sign up on their website to get the information before anyone else.  The good news?  The "dummies" (fake display phones) are already being distributed to the stores which can only mean the release will be sooner rather than later.  Take that, iPhone.

Until next time.

Hello, Yellow

Just some little things I found throughout the past week. Yellow, summertime and winter, is so welcoming and cheerful. It's perfect right now because I need a little pick-me-up in all this rain.

A lot of people in my life are moving, doing big things with their lives. I saw these charming little postcards and immediately thought of them...

An honor du-el

Lord Brian Urlacher...

A little brutal honesty never hurt anyone

Ahh the joys of honesty. No beating around the bush with these cards (another etsy find!). Please note: some of the others are not for those with sensitive eyes (or under the age of 18). Other than that, you're basically guaranteed some laughs...maybe one less friend.

The wonders of fall

Every year, about this time, I get wicked nostagic.  I think about being little and my mom bundling me up in 8 layers of the jacket-sweater-scarf combo.  She was convinced that the cold "gets in through your head" (I still don't know what that means, but it was her attempt at getting me to wear something similar to the first photo).  All these memories, sparked by the idea of going back to school (or not going back to school), the leaves changing, the chill in the air, pumpkins, cozy sweaters, tall boots...you catch my drift.  The official start is edging up on us.  Here is what I'm looking forward to (one of many posts):

Water that's just not that clear

Although I try to be optimistic when new products emerge, I can't help but refer to my common sense on this one. Tap'd NY is trying to change the world one bottle of tap water at a time. They bottle tap water. It is a great concept compared to the over-priced (yet delicious) Evian or Fiji. That is, until you remember that a nifty little invention like Brita also exists...and that tap water is free

Call me, cupcake

Calling cards are making their comeback. Obviously we know that networking is so, so important, but sometimes your business cards are not that cool to hand out when you are at a non-business function. I'm looking to get some made. Anyone have any other good suggestions? So far, my favorite is the bike, but the other is not far behind.

Treehouses for big kids

Back from the dead

I apologize for my M.I.A. status the past few days. Job hunting is a huge bitch and is making me cranky/driving me to drink. Today's Etsy exploration session snapped me out of my daze and reminded me why I like spending most of my day on the internet.

Craving a road trip...

and a tandem bike. Make it happen.

Can't wait any longer

I bought a black leather jacket (strikingly similar to the one shown below) last fall from Nordstrom. I wore it almost every day in Spain (the month of January), and because the weather is so creepy, by February, it was back in my closet for good. I've been drooling over these pages I've collected over time for my binder (i.e. best way to save the things I love without saving the actual magazine).
86 black pants, SUB floral dress...

brown jacket with neck scarf is my favorite.

Cigarillo, senora?

I pee my pants every time I look at this postcard I got from a street corner in Sevilla (it hangs on my cork board). It just reminds me of everything careless, indulgent, and ridiculous.

S'more:

Cigar smoking for amateurs.

A flask inside a really classy place.

A $100 martini glass...Why?

The fabulous CHELSEA HANDLER!

This 36 year old man eats his 23,000th Big Mac...and he's still alive.

A blue flame lighter...because a regular one doesn't do the trick?
