How Do You Save?
I think that all of you can relate to the money struggles of a twenty-something. I'd much rather be going out to eat at all the fabulous restaurants in the city, vacationing abroad, or shopping without any reservations. Even though I save a set amount from each check for long-term savings, I end up just transferring it out. Oops! Do you have any good (and semi-easy) money-saving tricks?

Hello, Friday
Friday is finally here! Any good plans this weekend? I'm working on some projects for school and work, but hoping to get in some R&R at some point. "Hoping" being the keyword! Here's a tiny list of my weekly round-up of favorites this week:
This list of the 50 most stylish New Yorkers is dead on.
How amazing would a dinner on this train be?
Swooning over these dreamy shots taken by an 18 year old!
I'm with you on these Zara picks, girlfriend.
Super fun wrapping paper for anyone!

Up, Up, and Away
Just a few weeks ago I saw Up for the very first time. I cried until my eyes were puffed, and hours later, decided I needed to own it, and watched it again only 12 hours later. Now, weeks later, someone posts this real life experiment based on the movie! I am beyond. How fun would it be to be a part of this?

Cookbooks
I am such a sucker for recipes. My usual go-to places are epicurious, Giada, and my mom's beat up Pillsbury Complete Book of Baking. But, for a change of scenery, I scooped up I Know How to Cook--the recipes are clean with just a tiny bit of French...not to mention that the cover illustration is gorgeous. Oui!
What are your favorite cookbooks?

Fancy Feast
{42nd Street view, blooming onions in the making, mini sliders from Brickyard Gastropub}
Anyone make it out to the Ninth Ave. International Food Festival here in NYC? I am still stuffed--15 blocks of street food goodness. Some Honorable Mentions go to the Potato and Cheese Pierogies from Millie's and the Fig and Mascarpone in Phyllo from Brickyard Gastropub. I was only able to snap a couple of pics because, of course, I was too busy feasting! How cute are those baby burgers?
Happy Monday!

Hello, Friday
Friday, what took you so long! Any good plans this weekend? I'm heading to the Yankees game tonight and some sort of adventure on Saturday that I haven't quite decided on yet. Bodies exhibit? Farmers market? It will be a last minute decision! And, with that being said, I leave you with a tiny list of links that have kept me smiling this week:

Moroccan inspiration doesn't get much better than this.
Mark your calendars: Eugenia Kim for Target starts this Sunday!
Pretty, whacky plates.
On my hair-do to-do list.
Steven Alan, I can't get enough of you.
Enjoy! xo

Mondays Matter
Well, back to Monday! In case you didn't know, Yankees home-opener is tomorrow. Taxes are due on Thursday. And, yes, it's National Library Week. Go nuts.
Things to tackle this week:
- Balance my checkbook. I may be the only person keeping the personal check business alive.
- Start/catch up on The Pacific. I keep hearing RAVE reviews and feel like I'm missing out.
- Finish Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm an embarrassment to all HP fans out there because this was on my last to-do list.
What's on your to-do list this week? xo

Crystals and Planets
Kate totally nailed it with this find. As a kid, I geeked out over rocks, minerals, planets, Sea Monkeys, worms...you name it. I thought they were so fantastic. I'm pretty sure at one point, I wanted to be a mineralogist because I wanted to be surrounded by pretty rocks--then I wanted to be an astronaut because I liked the idea of flying in space. These 1970s dictionary pages just bring me back to the good 'ol days--you know, the early 90s. Was it just me or were you into that stuff too as a kid?
P.S. I really do love rocks.

Happy Monday!
Well, what a surprise--the weekend flew by and now we're back at Monday. What's in store? More rain...as if last time wasn't enough! Let's just say that my Hunters are ready to jump in some really giant puddles.
Things to tackle this week:
- Finish Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm a little behind on the HP thing!
- Catch up on my shows--How to Make It in America, Gossip Girl, and No Reservations
- Cook this and this
- Buy a giant flower broach in the same vein as pretty Emerson's above
Enjoy the weather...whatever it may be! What's on your to-do list this week? xo

Weather Woes and Pros
NYC had some pretty ridiculous weather this past weekend. Nonetheless, I faced the rain head-to-head on Saturday and ventured around the city in search for lesser known vintage/consignment shops. I was 0-1. It wasn't until my umbrella turned inside out and flew out of my hands that I decided to call my day quits and head home. I spent the rest of the day curled up in bed watching 17 Again...which I have to say is actually a really great movie. Sometimes, you just have to respect rainy days and the duties that come with them. How do you like to spend your rainy days?

Walk This Way
Definitely loving Alberto Antoniazza's version of rock 'n roll history. You know, it's really easy like a subway map! Queen, Aerosmith...I'll take the green line.

Straight Up Dirty
It's Martini Week here in NYC. Go out and grab a dirty one (my personal favs) or if you're not in the area, make you're own and we can pretend you're here. Cheers to (almost) the end of the week!
