Proenza, My Darling

Every girl has their favorite thing to shop for...and it's quite clear because her wardrobe is mostly compiled of those very specific things.  Mine are dresses--really pretty dresses have a special place in my heart.  Man, I could shop every single day for a dress if I could.  On the opposite end of the spectrum, I never make time to buy myself purses.  My normal pattern of behavior is "buy one and wear it for the year".  So, when I finally find a bag I can add to my very "edited" collection, I welcome it with open arms.

Friends, meet Proenza Schouler PS1-D-2 Large Bag.  She's sleek, yet worn in.  She's large and in charge.  She's bright and cheery, but knows how to get down to business.  Oh tax refund, where art thou?

Crystals and Planets

Kate totally nailed it with this find.  As a kid, I geeked out over rocks, minerals, planets, Sea Monkeys, worms...you name it.  I thought they were so fantastic.  I'm pretty sure at one point, I wanted to be a mineralogist because I wanted to be surrounded by pretty rocks--then I wanted to be an astronaut because I liked the idea of flying in space.  These 1970s dictionary pages just bring me back to the good 'ol days--you know, the early 90s.  Was it just me or were you into that stuff too as a kid?

Obsessed Much? Men's Hats for Me.

There are some inexplicable occasions that my online shopping turns into browsing for my boyfriend's next purchase.  More often than not, I end up just reporting to him as to any good findings and that's that.  But, then there are the times that boyfriend shopping turns into me-shopping, which is when I get really giddy because I feel like I'm beating the system!  My latest and greatest find: the Filson Tin Cloth Windfowl Cap.  It's the perfect companion to any frilly, springtime dress, yet could come in very useful for bad hair days.

Well, what a surprise--the weekend flew by and now we're back at Monday.  What's in store?  More rain...as if last time wasn't enough!  Let's just say that my Hunters are ready to jump in some really giant puddles.

Things to tackle this week:
- Finish Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm a little behind on the HP thing!
- Catch up on my shows--How to Make It in America, Gossip Girl, and No Reservations
- Cook this and this
- Buy a giant flower broach in the same vein as pretty Emerson's above
