Monday Madness

Happy Monday! I had an amazing weekend which, of course, ended too soon. Here are some things to keep me trekking through the week:
  • Most important: Julie + Julia on Friday!
  • style.com posted their Fall '09 trend reports last week! "Boudoir crossing" and "Party like it's 1983" are at the top of my list.
  • August 3 is National Watermelon Day. August, altogether, is National Eye Exam Month! :)
  • I need calling cards! Can anyone make me any? All I need is: pretty, professional, and catchy.
  • A friend told me about this book (Nickel and Dimed). Has anyone read it?!!
  • Tyra on Gossip Girl...
  • I would move to the West Side!

Loving the new season's trends, haven't been excited by much fashion recently, all tends to look odd on me.

And for the calling cards, try moo.com their mini cards are awesome!

we studied that book in one of my sociology classes. the guy that did "supersize me" morgan something, he did a documentary with his wife about how living on minimum wage is pretty much impossible. and scary. I recommend the book if you're liberal and are interested in class ranking and money flow! (the documentary isn't affiliated with the book but it's pretty interesting!)

i'm working on designing some calling cards for other blogger friends of mine....email me if you want to chat. kmrobi@gmail.com

I am so excited to see Julie & Julia this Friday. I almost bought the book at Borders this weekend but a part of me doesn't want to spoil the movie :)

nickel and dimed is a fabulous book, it definitely opened my mind a little bit and made me much more aware of service people i come into contact with and what their struggles might be like.
i hope you read it and i hope you enjoy it!

guys...for calling cards or anything you might need for fun and clever printing I strongly recommend Vana. she made some stationary for me for my business and I LOVE it and so do my clients. She's fabulous and one of the nicest people I've met via blogging...you can see her etsy shop. Le Papier Studio, here...tell her I say hi:)
