A nice little Saturday planned

Every year, the borough of Belmar hosts the notorious NJ Seafood Festival, rain or shine, and unfortunately, we saw very little of the latter. It's been said that almost 100,000 visitors (within only 2 days) swarm to the 5th and Ocean Avenue location to savor aisles and aisles of Jersey's finest catches and scour the handmade goods tents. Throughout the day, we munched on some sweet potato fries with cinnamon sugar and shrimp with pineapple skewers, but my absolute favorite were the king crab legs (the damage, bottom photo) from Klein's tent. It was the best $13.00 ever spent. Ever. Plus, we picked up some yummy smelling hand-rolled cigars for post-meal. We don't mess around.

OOOhhh... being from the Big Easy, I'm a sea food snob, and it looks like you got some good lookin' sea food on Saturday! What a fun event?!?

p.s. My absolute FAV sea food is New Orleans style BBQ shrimp with a bit of fresh, crusty French bread to soak up all of that amazing sauce. if you haven't tried it, look up Emeril's recipe & make it. Now... you won't regret it!
